Our Mission
CLSF (Center for Lignocellulose Structure and Formation) is a DOE Energy Frontiers Research Center focused on developing a detailed understanding of lignocellulose, the main structural material in plants, from cellulose synthesis and fibril formation to a mature plant cell wall, forming a foundation for significant advancement in sustainable energy and materials.

- Research Assistant / Associate Sought
A research position is available to perform NMR analysis on extracted plant cell walls as well as provide support for a variety of CLSF-supported research projects at our newly established preparative and analytical laboratory located at the University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University. Applicants should be highly motivated and have an MS or PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, cell biology or related fields, have extensive solid-state 13C NMR experience, and be interested in learning new methods and instrumental methods. Applicants with a B.S. and at least 3 years of research laboratory experience will also be considered.
